My Music
Since I was about 6 years old music has been a large part of my life. I was classically trained on piano and violin growing up, and later applied those concepts to guitar when I was about 13. Throughout my studies at Berklee College of Music I took my classical knowledge and combined it with the modern theory and application that the school offers.
Presently I'm developing my music down two different paths. I've been writing lots of songs, based mostly in a folk/pop context, but I've also been playing around local St. Louis restaurants, bars, and coffee shops with my wife or lending my guitar skills as a sideman for jazz and blues bands.

Been a while since I posted anything. Updating the website has been on the backburner a bit since my wife and I moved into our new home. We are playing gigs together now and have a great set list full of jazz standards and pop favorites. Take a listen to us playing together on the Booking Info page. I've been playing bass with Bear Ceuse quite a bit, as we're preparing for a summer tour throughout the Midwest. Look at the Gig Calendar for those dates. I'm also working with Richie Kihlken on a kickin band that will funkify any evening. We're working on a set list and will be playing regular gigs by April or May.

Wrapped up the tunes that I had wanted to finish for the EP, now its time to finally start recording. Ben Mazchek is going to play drums (he has played on a bunch of sessions for recording clients), and there might be a few guests as well. Still playing my regular gig at Seasons Restaurant in Creve Coeur, so come on in most Fridays and you'll surely see me.

Hey folks. Getting ready for my own wedding has proven to be another part time job. I'm in the pre-production phase of my EP, so hopefully things will get moving soon. Also, check out my gigs section, since I've got a few regular gigs going again.

I hate rainy weather. While some songwriters find it inspiring, I just find it depressing. The EP is coming along, but the only problem is that I keep writing songs I'd like to put on it. So I've given myself a clear cutoff and and not going to include any newer ones starting...now.

Happy new year! I've been finishing up a few songs, and will be sure to post the demos soon on both the website and my myspace page. I also am going to start a 5-song EP soon, which will have full arrangements. I plan to sell 'em (of course), but my main goal is to shop them around and see if any labels or publishing companies bite. Maybe I can get a song on a TV show, who knows.
